Non-HDL-cholesterol and atherogenicity in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients

      Background: In type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) lipoprotein abnormalities are the main contributors resulting high atherogenic dyslipidaemia. Non-HDL-cholesterol could be used in screening patients with diabetes, especially in whom LDL-cholesterol levels may not be significantly elevated.
